VERDE ALFIERI
Mixed Materials / Italy
My world and everyday life have been full of paper from the beginning. I’m daughter of an art publisher and I worked also with him for many years designing books and touching paper all the day everyday.
But paper is more then a simple printed book, paper is art in its eternal life. What made me a paper jewelry designer was above all the feelings by stroking paper with my fingers, its scent whether it was natural or printed, new or old.
I use precious papers or recycled papers and I play with them to capture its soul creating wearable pieces of art with the blending of influences and styles that are perceived in my full inspiration. I love to create modernity and uniqueness with all these feelings that are embodied in my jewels with incredible shapes and colors that recall Africa, the Middle East, Latin America but also the Italian territories, where jewellery has deep roots in Italian artistic traditions.
