JENNY  JANSSON

Emerging Talent / Sweden

Jenny Jansson is an emerging jewellery artist who recently finished of a Bachelor in Jewellery Art and is set to continue her studies with a masters in Jewellery Art at HDK Valand, Academy of Art and Design, Gothenburg Sweden.

The common denominator of the present work is the focus on examining the relationship between jewellery and the surrounding world, and how the two can interact and intwine.

I am interested in using jewellery and craft as a means of understanding, exploring and sometimes questioning the world around me.

I believe there is an inherent urge in my pieces to communicate both with their wearer and the viewer.

The choice of material and execution being at the forefront in a process that centres around a playful curiosity, when it comes to experimenting around finding the right expression.
